Mar 19,2005 "Perfect for the Pantheon" A TripAdvisor Member, London: This is a comfortable, friendly hotel in the lively Latin Quarter of Paris, a few minutes' walk from the Pantheon and Jardin de Luxembourg. I received a very friendly welcome (and farewell!!) from the manager. There are loads of appealing restaurants and bars nearby and the student population from the Sorbonne (almost next door to the hotel) gives the whole area a youthful and cheerful dimension. The hotel is perhaps a little overpriced for what it offers but if you are looking for a convenient base in the Latin Quarter, this could suit you fine. The Palais du Luxembourg, former residence of Marie de Médicis houses today the Senate. The Pantheon, built between 1764 and 1790 is now a memorial to the great men of French History. Among them are: Pierre and Marie Curie, Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Victor Hugo. Sep 16, 2005 "Great location" A TripAdvisor Member, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Not sure what some people expect from a 3 star hotel but this one was great, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The lift is tiny (so what) the rooms are very good and clean ok there were no tea making fascilities in the room but then a travel kettle is cheap enough, the bathroom was sparklingly clean and it was a quiet hotel, breakfast was very good and plentiful. The Latin quarter and St Germain are excellent areas and we spent 2 days just exploring them. For a romantic trip try a dinner in the Seine, fantastic!.

The rooms are American-sized and smell of roses. The furniture is new but antique finished with tolc-work and arcitectural prints adorn in the walls. The bath are marble with cultured granit counters, sheet-sized towels and toiletries. Nestled in a silver dish, glass blotters the tops of both beside tables and writing desk wich also conccals the mini-bar. Wrough iron grills and geraniums in the window boxes help frame views of the Sorbonne from street-side rooms such as n°405. Or of a residential courtyard from a vast L-shapped family room such as n°408. Each Elegantly Appointed Room and Suite Offers Air Conditionning, Direct Dial Phone, Color Satellite Tv, Mini-bar, Safety Box, Private Bath With Wall Hairdryer, and Some Also Feature Balcony and Views of the Sorbonne and Pantheon. For Maximum Peace and Comfort Each is Sound-Proofed.
